Children & Young Peoples Support Service
This is a service for children and young people who have been affected by domestic violence.
The aim of the service is to help young people come to terms with their experiences through support and creative activities.
We offer a safe environment for them to explore their feelings, thoughts and behaviours without fear or being blamed. We also offer safer coping strategies.
The effect of domestic violence can vary depending on the individual but often include:

Low self esteem

Feelings of guilt and shame

Being withdrawn

Poor health labelled as badly behaved at school because of poor coping abilities.
